Introduction

Akwa Ibom Business Community was established on 17th December 2014 because of the need to unite private sector and provide direction for business owners in the state..

The community started awareness in the early years of its establishment across 31 LGAs, Lagos and Abuja as well as embark on the first Business townhall in 31 LGAs, Abuja and Lagos to build in business owners the consciousness of valued business competitveness as well as dignity in labour..

After foundation building years, the community conducted election into the Board of Trustees in 2021, His Excellency Pastor Umo Eno emerged as Chairman of BOT with Senator Aloysius Etok as Secretary and Pastor Imoabasi Jacob, Chief Janet Amba, Mr. Ini Akpabio and Mr. Ewan Josiah all serving as members of the Pastor Eno led BOT.

The Pastor Umo Eno BOT leadership was brief as he resigned to contest the Governorship election after serving one year and six month as CHAIRMAN in 2022.

he was succeeded by Senator Aloysius Etok who completed Pastor Umo Eno Tenure as Chairman BOT..

Under the Pastor Umo Eno BOT leadership, the community transformed from a single institution to the true symbol of the private Sector leadership in Akwa Ibom State with the joining in affiliate status over fifty eight 58 business organisations in Akwa Ibom State into the business Community..

With the further restructuring of the community to meet desired expectations of business owners after the full completion of H.E. Pastor Eno Tenure by the succeeding Chairman Senator Aloysius Etok..

The community rebranded into ADVISORY COUNCIL from BOT, and Prof. Akpan H. Ekpo a renown world economist emerged as CHAIRMAN of Advisory Council with Engr. Oliver Ebong as Vice Chairman, Engr. Etido Inyang as Secretary as well as OBONG DR. MENDY ARCHIBONG, H.E. FUNMI IDONGESIT-NKANGA, LADY MARY UDUK, DR. CHRIS EKPENYONG, MR. INI AKPABIO, MR. EWAN JOSIAH serving as members

The Administrative Council of the community is led by Mr. Lordswill Umani as PRESIDENT GENERAL, CHIEF DANIEL.CHUKWUMA as Secretary, Mr. Uduak Akpan Publicity Secretary, Mr. Isaac Cosmos Treasurer, Capt.
